On our Biochemistry (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) course youll develop theoretical and practical skills, allowing you to analyze and understand biochemical information and data. This will also raise your awareness of the social and ethical dimensions in which contemporary biochemistry operates. Your foundation year will focus on equipping you with essential study skills and fundamental scientific knowledge so that you can gain confidence and improve skills that will help you succeed at the undergraduate level. This preparatory year will introduce you to basic mathematical concepts and laboratory techniques related to life sciences.
At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma). English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent eg Functional Skills at Level 2). Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a D (grade 3) in English and/or Maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas
