You’ll learn how to construct and operate lighting rigs, run live sound PA systems, explore theatrical design concepts, and develop interactive installation projects.
Our experienced staff will add to these practical skills by teaching you stage and production management and you’ll gain experience and confidence working on student productions. You will leave university well-equipped for a career in the creative industries.
There is a constant need for people with technical skills within the live performance industries and it is an area that develops rapidly to embrace new technologies. Graduates from previous technical training pathways within our Performing Arts degree have gone on to work as technicians in the West End, cruise ships, national receiving house theatres, schools, and colleges.
