The program aims to ensure that students are prepared to promote health and social well-being through the achievement of the standards of proficiency of specialist community public health nursing (NMC 2004) and adherence to The Code (NMC, 2018). Practitioners are challenged to consider the socio-economic, political, and professional factors that influence and reflect health care demands and provision. They are facilitated in developing their knowledge and skills to enhance the provision of health care, by applying appropriate theory, research and evidence, to reflect contemporary perspectives. Emphasis is placed upon acknowledging the multi-dimensional nature of human beings and providing health-promoting care through collaborative working.
All students must have an effective registration on either the Nursing or Midwifery part of the NMC professional register as a first-level nurse. And: Also, possess 120 credits at levels 4 and 5 and have the ability to study successfully at degree level.
