Perception, cognition, emotions, motivation, personality, interpersonal relationships, this course gives you the flexibility to explore a wide range of topics to do with mental processes and social behaviors. Youll look at current and sometimes controversial issues by examining case studies. Taking a hands-on approach you'll be encouraged to think and apply your knowledge, looking at how psychological theories actually apply in the real world. Well help you broaden your skills and experiences to make you attractive to potential employers in your chosen career. Youll have the opportunity to build your communication skills, assertiveness, ability to work in teams, and presentation techniques, all of which are useful in many careers and professions. Youll be able to take advantage of excellent facilities to enhance your studies, including our EEG system which monitors brain activity, our eye tracker, biopsychological testing systems, and a specialist polygraph (lie-detector machine). This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), so youll be able to apply for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership if you graduate with a Lower Second Class Honours or higher.
