Course Overview

This MA allows you to study Korean from a beginner's level. By the end of the course, you'll be able to communicate effectively in Korean, both orally and in writing, on topics familiar to you. You'll be able to quickly adapt to teaching English in Korea with the skills you learn in this course. This is a course that can change your life and allow you to pursue new career avenues. In 18 months, you could be living abroad, teaching English. Our approach to teaching TESOL focuses on teaching English in a multilingual world. You will explore theoretical issues in second language learning and apply these to your teaching. We will also give you the opportunity to gain practical experience in lesson planning and delivery. You will explore how to adapt materials and methods to a range of teaching situations.

General Eligibility

Entry onto this postgraduate course requires a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in a related subject.
