Drawing on the Universitys decades of expertise, strong industry links, and location in York, Britains only UNESCO City of Media Arts, you will be ideally placed to shape your aspirations as a creative-thinking practitioner. Bridging theory and practice, this program allows you to explore your ambitions to produce projects which have an outstanding impact on audiences in an ever-expanding and shifting media landscape. The program has been designed to meet the needs of both students who have just finished Undergraduate programs and those returning to learning who may have already developed their own independent media practice. Your practice will be at the heart of the program and you will have the opportunity to develop your professional profile. You will focus on independent and entrepreneurial practice, including engagement with innovative digital storytelling strategies, platforms for distribution of work, and methods of practice-based research. Opportunities are also available to explore exciting creative partnerships with students studying Theatre, Music, and Music Production.
