Competition and the globalization of supply markets are redefining the way modern supply chains and logistics are managed. Companies who outsource need flexible and responsive supply chain and logistical operations which deliver added value to their customers with an increasing focus on protecting the environment. These can lead to sustainable competitive advantage which in turn enables long-term growth and profitability. The growth and success of Amazon illustrate the huge potential of supply chain management and logistics. To create and sustain such a competitive advantage, organizations need highly trained individuals capable of developing diverse, bespoke, and innovative supply chain and logistical solutions.
