Our Planning and Environment Research MA provides strong research training. You will develop your research skills and receive professional accreditation. It will suit those looking to specialize in environmental or landscape planning research. The course is the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognized. The course will prepare you for a Ph.D. in the field of environmental or landscape planning. It will also equip you with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to pursue a research career. The research skills that you will develop are relevant to a variety of organizations in the public, private and voluntary sectors. You will develop: understanding of a range of contemporary and specialized issues in environmental planning research strong research skills including data collection and analysis awareness of ethical issues in research practical skills for planning, managing and disseminating research, including bibliographic, IT, and communication skills expertise in specialist areas relating to your personal research interests a broad understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods
A 2:1 honours degree, or an international equivalent. Your degree must be in a relevant subject area such as: planning landscape environmental science environmental management geography architecture
IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-skills).
