LLM in Law and New Technologies is a research-led program that focuses on how new technologies are transforming the way society operates - the way we communicate, the way we work, the way we do business, the way we travel - and the profound consequences of these changes for the law. The program is centered around seminars in which you will discuss contemporary challenges posed by new technologies. Following an introduction to practical and theoretical ideas on the most pressing questions connected to law and technology, you will then apply these ideas to contemporary world problems such as the erosion of democracy, climate change, economic inequality, political radicalization, cybercrime, and the new wave of automation facing labor markets. The program is aimed at both law and non-law graduates.
A second-class honors degree (2:2) or above in law or in any degree program related to the aims and content of the program.
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
