Course Overview

As diseases emerge and evolve, medicine needs new, and innovative ways of combating them to save peoples lives. Through an increased understanding of stem cells, scientists are discovering new treatments to repair diseased and damaged organs and curing numerous health conditions and diseases. From exploring transplantation to cell regeneration, stem cell research really is the future of medicine. By studying Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicines MSc at Aston, youll discover more about how the use of stem cells in regenerative medicine and drug discovery is one of the most crucial areas of research today. You will gain the skills, insight, and experience to be an indispensable asset to public or private organizations working at the forefront of medical research.

General Eligibility

We welcome applications from candidates interested in our course who have the skills and capability to excel. All candidates are considered on an individual basis based on their qualifications, experience, references, and motivation. All applicants require: Lower second class honors degree (2:2) with a minimum overall of 55 percent or above from a recognized university in a biological, biomedical, or biochemistry-based subject, or a related field.

  • IELTS Overall 6.5, Reading, Writing Listening, Speaking 6.0 Financial requirement You’ll need to show you have enough money to support yourself - unless you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months on the date of your application. How much money you need depends on where you will be studying. You’ll need either: £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses inside London If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, you need to prove you have a total of £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London. If you’re boarding at a residential independent school, you’ll need to pay boarding fees instead. The amount you need to pay will be on your CAS. London means the City of London and the 32 London boroughs.
