This progressive course in event management is designed to provide all the core and vital skills, with an essential understanding in which to apply to real-life briefs. Delivered by a leading industry and academic professional who brings many years of successful experience in a broad range of events, this course is also suitable for those who may be interested in studying on our BA (Hons) Creative Events Management course. Students will work on sample and historic briefs to develop practical and specific event management skills that can be applied to real-world situations. Students will gain and develop an understanding of a broad range of event types and prepare simulated event briefs, in order to develop a broad portfolio of events. Course projects will provide confidence and the ability to take on and create events of any nature. A combination of case studies, interactive group sessions, presentations, and questions and answers will provide and offer transferrable skills and invaluable experience to real-life situations, which will prepare students for a successful future in organising high quality and engaging events. It also includes sessions devoted to developing pitch and presentation skills.
