Course Overview

The BA year is about drawing together everything you’ve learned, exploring it, refining it and developing it into something presentable in a professional context.

Everything you’ll do is geared towards practical industry experience and preparing for a career as a circus theatre artist. You’ll create a portfolio of work that has particular professional markets in mind, and critically evaluate your work within this context.

You’ll experience a realistic industry environment as you create a full-length production that tours a variety of venues in the UK.

The Practice As Research module will encourage you to question your own processes and encourage you to holistically integrate your technical training and creative practice. This research feeds into your final project, where we challenge you to make a major piece of work for public performance, document the process and be able to articulate, analyse and interrogate your creative ideas in a viva-voce presentation.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results in an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
