This program provides flexibility to allow you to study in your country with other teachers. The iQTS will prepare you to meet the professional requirements of the International Teachers’ Standards alongside engagement with relevant academic skills. You will deepen your knowledge and understanding of policy and practice by studying and completing work-based activities as you progress and develop as a teacher.
Successfully completing the iQTS, could help further your career both in your country or abroad. This iQTS course is suitable for those teaching in Primary (age 5 years to 11 years) and Secondary (age 11 to 16 years) in the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, and computer science.
The iQTS may enhance your promotion prospects and allow you to teach in other countries. On successful completion, you will achieve iQTS and you will also be awarded QTS to teach in England with no further fees or further training. Applicants would need to meet the following entry requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree from a UK or non-UK institution of higher education, or an equivalent qualification
Have achieved a standard equivalent to a grade 4 in the GCSE examination in the subject of mathematics *
All who intend to train to teach pupils aged 5 to 11 additionally have achieved a standard equivalent to a grade 4 in the GCSE examination in a science subject
