Courses at UoBM cater to preparing students with the necessary knowledge, understanding of the industry, self-reflective skills and professional attitudes to be employable graduates. UoB Manchester students are challenged to develop their work ethic, tune their analytical and problem-solving abilities, and realise their ambitions. Finance and Accounting graduates can thrive in several employment opportunities, regardless of whether they aim to become chartered accountants.

Our degree timetables allow students to do meaningful part-time work throughout their studies at UoBM. The employability team is available to assist students with queries about career choices, employment, jobs and the employability scheme during and after their studies.

Foundation Year Entry Requirements

48 points for a Foundation Degree

Applicants studying for other qualifications should contact UoBM to discuss their circumstances. We also welcome applications from mature individuals who can demonstrate appropriate, relevant work experience.

All applicants must have at least 5 GCSEs at C/4 or above, including English and Maths. Our published entry requirements are a guide only, and our decision will be based on our assessment of your overall suitability for the course. We treat everyone as an individual, which means we will look at your whole application, including any relevant work experience, personal circumstances, and educational qualifications.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• Students whose first language is not English and who have not previously studied in the UK must have IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
