Course Overview

Public Health draws on knowledge and practice from a number of disciplines and this degree is no different. The course is built around three interconnected streams of knowledge:

1. Theoretical concepts where students are exposed to the underlying key theories which inform health and health policy and practice;

2. Practical concepts where students are provided with the skills and knowledge to apply, implement and evaluate of public health interventions;

3. Populations and public health where learners are provided with the skills and knowledge to understand and react to the needs of populations at a local, national and global level.

General Eligibility

• Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

• A Level – Grades BCC

• Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

• Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

• Copy of latest school credentials

• Passport copy

• Emirates ID (if any)

• Visa Page Copy

• Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

• A recognized post-secondary course.

• University preparation (foundation) studies.

• One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
