Course Overview

This course has been designed so you can meet the demands of high-performance computing in the industry. You will learn software development, machine architecture, problem modeling, and parallel computing – among other things.

The main emphasis of this degree is on the development of advanced software and the use of cutting-edge ideas to enable you to work with data on a massive scale – something employers are increasingly demanding.

On successful completion of this degree, you will be strongly prepared for a role in many computing roles, specifically software engineering. The course very closely maps to commercial development and you will be fully prepared to move into a broad range of computing roles such as Scrum Master, Product Manager, Dev-Ops, UX-Designer, and many more.

You will also have a strong grounding for further study in specialist Masters or Research (MPhil/Ph.D.) programs. This degree will stand you in good stead to work towards professional qualifications with a number of commercial providers and also those of the British Computer Society.

Access: Pass 45 Credits

International Baccalaureate: TBC

Combinations: A combination of qualifications totaling 64 UCAS points minimum

A typical offer would be a minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points and a good GCSE in Mathematics or equivalent. Applicants without formal level 3 qualifications will also be considered.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
