Course Overview

Utilize all your education and experience as a licensed dental hygienist to quickly earn a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and prepare for entry-level leadership positions.

This 12-month bridge program, available through our Minneapolis campus, provides current dental hygienists with an associate degree and the higher-level skills to lead, manage, and teach in the dental hygiene profession.

We aim to expand your expertise to qualify for your desired jobs. After completing this bridge program, you should be able to:

• Articulate the code of ethics, including adherence to regulatory structure within dental hygiene.

• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and convey aspects of culturally competent, inter-professional health care to individuals and groups from diverse populations.

• Demonstrate the ability to define and articulate organizational, operational, ethical, legal, and managerial issues impacting the field of dental hygiene.

• Investigate the ongoing evolution of the dental hygiene profession.

• Demonstrate the ability to perform self-assessment for life-long learning and professional growth.

General Eligibility

Prerequisites to enroll in the Herzing University Dental Hygiene program include:

• Completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Meet and interview with a Herzing University admissions advisor

• Complete an enrollment application
