The fast-paced business world is ever-changing, but organisations will always need financial expertise if they are to thrive in the dynamic and global economic environment. The BA (Hons) International Accounting programme at Lincoln is designed to develop a broad understanding of accountancy and finance in an international context. The programme aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of professional roles and in a range of business environments, helping organisations make well-informed financial decisions about current and future plans and strategies. During the course, students are able to gain a thorough grounding in international business and accounting techniques and practices, while also developing the academic skills that would enable them to continue into postgraduate study. Given the global nature of the programme, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) will be applied throughout the teaching of financial accounting modules to help students understand the issues surrounding codes of professional conduct and ethical behaviour in business. The course has been specifically designed to utilise a variety of assessment methods, meaning there are fewer examinations compared to some other programmes.
