Course Overview

The TAQA Level 3 Assessors Award is a qualification for practitioners assessing competence in the work environment. These were previously called the D Units or Assessor and Verifier Awards but are now known as the TAQA (Training, Assessor and Quality Assurance) Awards. For some qualifications, it is stipulated by the Awarding Organisation that assessors must hold a relevant assessor qualification. This is an ‘in service’ award, and candidates must have access to trainees (by job role or placement) to complete the process.

General Eligibility

Candidates for this qualification must:

• Have access to an appropriate assessment center

• Have access to at least two candidates to be assessed

• Have access to an assessor/mentor for countersigning

• Have the potential to study at this level (A-level equivalent)

• Have occupational competency in the qualification they are assessing
