This five-year course takes the basics of BEng in Mechanical Engineering and delves deeper, emphasizing industry relevance.
You'll learn the principles of the field and use the latest technology to devise and implement practical solutions across a range of industry applications. You'll also become adept at gathering, analyzing, and applying data, using the information to create effective mechanical engineering systems and solutions.
As you learn to integrate your knowledge of mathematics, science, information technology, design, and business, you'll apply it to increasingly complex situations, developing your skills in lateral problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Our entry requirements indicate standard and Minimum qualifications with which we usually accept students. However, competition for places varies yearly, and you aren't guaranteed a business if you meet the minimum qualifications.
Advanced entry into Year 2, Year 3, or Year 4 is possible for students with suitable qualifications.
Please note this course requires an ATAS certificate unless you are a UK, EEA, or Swiss national. The Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) is designed to provide additional security checks on students who study specific courses in Science and Engineering. The ATAS Team manages the scheme at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
