Course Overview

A Pre-Masters course is an excellent route for international students to take before going on to study a full Masters's program in their specific subject area. This program offers two routes; one to cater to students wanting to take a Master’s in the area of Business and one for those wishing to undergo a Master’s in the Arts and Humanities. Overall, the program will equip you for the step up to post-graduate study both in terms of language levels and the other key areas which are vital for success at this level of study in a U.K. university.

The Centre for Language and Linguistics has a wealth of experience in teaching overseas students a range of related courses to this Pre-masters including our Ph.D. pre-sessional program, Summer Pre-sessional program, and the International Foundation year. In addition to this, the historic city of Canterbury provides the perfect environment for study and travel to London and the rest of the U.K. as well as to continental Europe.

General Eligibility

Applicants are expected to have:

  • An undergraduate degree or Higher Diploma.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS 5.5 score overall with no score less than 5.5 in any component.
