Course Overview

You will apply economic concepts as well as environmental tools to analyze, appraise and evaluate a range of environmental issues and policies.

You will also gain the essential employability skills necessary for the sustainability transition, whilst a flexible program structure will benefit those already at work to develop and extend their career skills and opportunities.

The program's content tackles a wide range of pressing issues, which are important to both industry and policymakers. Topics covered include climate change, biodiversity loss, sustainable economic development, the circular economy, sustainable supply chains, and sustainable finance.

Compulsory modules emphasize applying sustainability knowledge and skills to the workplace and other real-world situations, whilst optional modules provide specialist knowledge linking directly to employment routes.

The consultancy-based project and dissertation (MSc only) involves working with a sustainability-focused organization or project to deliver research that generates a real-world impact.

General Eligibility

You should usually hold a second-class honors degree (certain programs may require a 2:1) from a recognized British or overseas university.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

    TOEFL IBT: 89 overall with a minimum of 17 in Listening and Writing, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.

    Cambridge Proficiency Certificate: 176 overall with a minimum of 162 in each component (some schools require a minimum of 169 in each)
