... Edge Hill University

Course Overview

Computer networks are no longer limited to rows of PCs wired to servers in a corporate office. Any connected devices can now form a network. It’s your smartphone, door lock, tablet, fridge, camera, and even your lightbulbs and thermostat. Modern networks are wireless and spread everywhere. Our data has never been more valuable or more vulnerable.

For families, businesses, and governments, the systems and information in their networks are valuable assets. This degree gives you the skills and knowledge to run professional networks and keep them safe from cybercriminals.

You’ll work on real-life projects in our £ 13 million Tech Hub laboratories and workspaces. Go beyond technical network administration to learn tools and techniques in IT and project management. You’ll study computer theory, network security and forensics then cement your knowledge by putting it into practice on our computer security degree.
