BA (Hons) Events Management and Marketing Management

... United Kingdom
... University of Chester

Course Overview

Events encompass a broad range of areas, including exhibitions, meetings, sports, tourism, weddings, music, and the arts. Our highly-rated course combines theory and practice to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful career in events management and related industries.

Everything you study at Chester Business School will be relevant to events management and prepare you to succeed in your future career. You’ll begin planning and delivering a real event as part of a team in your second year, as well as having the chance to shape your career path through a five-week work placement that suits your personal interests and ambitions.

You will also have the chance to undertake an optional year-long placement after your second year which really brings your course to life and will enhance your graduate employment prospects. How does a work placement at Disney or FIFA sound? You may even have a year studying events management abroad in Europe, North America, Asia, or Australasia.

We can also tailor your learning towards giving you the competitive edge you need to succeed in events management. In the final year, this approach is embedded within many of the projects you can opt to undertake, helping you to shape your learning and skills development. Upon completion, we have seen our students graduating to positions across the events industry.

Hannah Clewley has managed stadium events, exhibitions, roadshows, and conferences all over the world since graduating and says: “The Events Management course provided me with a solid foundation for the industry. The lecturers at Chester really helped me with the course, they were approachable and always willing to give you the time if you needed any help or advice.”
