BSc (Hons) Healthcare Management Apprenticeship

... United Kingdom
... Teesside University

Course Overview

This degree apprenticeship demonstrates the initial learning activity to meet the Chartered Manager Degree Apprentice (CMDA) and includes the modules studied in this degree; learning and development within an individual assessment plan, portfolio and work-based project. It prepares the apprentice to meet the gateway for the endpoint assessment for the CMDA.

The internationalisation agenda and developing a global mindset is a core thread, and the apprentice must consider the international context in which health care and their professional practice sit. Learning and teaching methods encourage the apprentice to critically evaluate globally relevant evidence, alternative approaches and strategies and develop knowledge and understanding of international issues that may impact leadership and management practice.

Research and inquiry are essential to the apprentice’s professional life and central to the Teesside University Research Strategy. Teaching the apprentice to be research-based and enquiring is critical to equipping them with the skills to ensure their practice is entirely evidence-based and that they can access, utilise and evaluate the research to inform innovative approaches or address workplace challenges.
