This carefully designed program of study has been developed to provide professional progression for those who have completed a Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood, Education Studies, or a related discipline.
The program develops students’ knowledge and understanding of the sector while exploring relationships between different aspects of the field of study.
Successful completion of this program supports progression to further study at the master’s level or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
We accept the following:
Level 5 sector-specific qualification, such as an early-year sector-endorsed foundation degree, plus some experience working with 0–8 year-olds.
Foundation degree plus substantial experience working with 0–8-year-olds.
Vocational degree plus substantial experience working with 0–8-year-olds in a non-educational role (for example, as a health visitor)
English Language/Literature at Grade 4 or C or above
Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check are required.
You must be working or volunteering in an appropriate setting with children of the age/stage of 0-8
20 hours of work permits weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each skill.
