This top-up degree gives you a hands-on approach to learning. You’ll be taught in small groups with access to lots of practical and lab-based work. This approach makes you think and behave like a professional sports scientist. Modules have been designed to give you practical skills and industry knowledge. Regular guest speakers bring the subject to life through their insights into what’s happening right now in the industry.
Assessment will be through coursework activities where you’ll demonstrate your understanding through written reports, individual and group presentations, and project work as well as through your portfolio which you’ll develop in this course as evidence of your professional and academic progress.
You’ll be applying your learning in our state-of-the-art sports science facilities at our Mansfield site. Our well-equipped labs include eye-tracker systems for sports psychology, 3D motion capture systems for biomechanics, and a range of bikes, treadmills, and performance analyzers for sports physiology.
