Genetics explains the molecular and chromosomal basis of physical characteristics, heredity, and the role of genetic variation in evolution. And now, DNA technology and computing power is making genetics the most rapidly growing area of biology.
On our BSc (Hons) Genetics course, you’ll gain a solid understanding of the theory underpinning the subject, alongside the practical techniques that enable it to be studied. Our program will give you hands-on experience in using the latest industry-standard equipment and software.

We are happy to accept IB qualifications that achieve the required number of UCAS Tariff points. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply.
Access to Higher Education Diploma 45 credits at Level 3, for example, 15 credits at Distinction and 30 credits at Merit or 24 credits at Distinction and 21 credits at Merit. The required total can be attained from various credit combinations.
