This accelerated course aims to prepare existing graduates for an exciting and rewarding career as a Registered Nurse (Adult). You will undertake a range of theory modules across the 2-year programme, complemented by clinical practice placements to allow you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience required by nurses delivering healthcare across a wide range of clinical settings.
On successful completion of this accelerated nursing course, you will be eligible to register your qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and practise as a Registered Nurse (Adult). This course is designed to develop practitioners who can safely and effectively meet the healthcare needs of Service users across the lifespan, with particular emphasis on meeting the needs of the adult requiring complex care.
During your course, you will gain a wide range of clinical experience during placements with our practice providers, which offers you the opportunity to engage with potential future employers throughout your course, to help you make a seamless transition to your first role as a qualified nurse.
Applicants must hold at least a 2:2 in a science-based subject or a 2:1 for any other subject area
Completion of RPEL portfolio evidencing 750 hours of experience working/volunteering in a health/social care setting within the past 5 years (to meet NMC requirements within the accelerated programme).
Applicants are required to hold five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
For applicants whose first language is not English, but who have been living in the UK for less than 2 years (or have not lived in the UK at all), we will accept IELTS or the University of Suffolk Password test as meeting the English requirement.
Applicants whose first language is not English, but who have been living in the UK for 2 years or more will be expected to hold GCSE English at Grade C or above, (grade 4-9 for the new GCSEs) or the relevant Level 2 equivalent (if applicable).
