Course Overview

• Applicants for this program must be employed in a relevant role in the Engineering industry.

• Cover areas such as advanced stress and vibration, business development, manufacturing operations, mechatronics, and computational engineering

• Tailor your studies with several core units complemented by option units to suit the needs of your employer and your long-term career plans

• Subjects are taught by flexible learning, and you will be supported throughout your study with discussion forums.

• We also offer an Integrated Master (MEng), which requires 18 months of study.

General Eligibility

Students who have completed the FdEng, FdSc Engineering (Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Management or Electronic Design) programs at Bournemouth & Poole College with a minimum classification of Merit will be eligible to apply for entry with advanced standing to the Level 6 of the MEng (Hons) Engineering program at Bournemouth University and credited with 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5.

Additionally, other applicants to Level 6 require either: ​

• A Fung, FdSc, or HND with Merit in an engineering discipline accredited to EngTech or partial IEng.

Language Requirement

• IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent. GCSE English Language with a Grade of C/4 or above will also be accepted.
