The curriculum is designed to instil confidence and readiness in students that enable them to progress onto a degree programme of their choice. The programme will also facilitate the development of transferrable skills that are valued by industry employers and aid further study, for example, critical awareness through research and analysis, design and innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills and verbal, written and visual communication. It is focused on the student journey and transition into the university of students from non-standard backgrounds and supports life-long learning amongst the wider community. Various teaching delivery methods are used in this course, including lectures, group work, seminars and workshops. You will study six modules, three delivered in Term 1 and 3 in Term 2. Each module will have 48 hours of timetabled hours (contact time) and 152 hours for self-study / independent learning time.
Independent learning is supported by our virtual learning environment (Moodle). Further support is available from your Module Leaders/seminar tutors, Programme Director, and the personal tutoring team.
Minimum three A levels to include Grades CCC. No specific subjects are required. Welsh Baccalaureate – Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate is considered a third subject.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in all elements, or equivalent.
