This course is specifically aimed at international students, supporting those wishing to gain practical work-based experiential learning. Together with studying your chosen course, we are offering an additional 6-month placement opportunity, making the course 18 months in length. This allows students with limited experience to put into practice the skills and techniques developed throughout the Masters degree. The term Internet of Things (IoT) encompasses everything connected to the internet, and it is increasingly being used to define objects that 'talk' to each other. Connected machines and objects in factories offer the potential for a 'fourth industrial revolution. This course is designed to provide you with the opportunity to acquire knowledge across a range of computing and engineering systems disciplines and develop skills in the use of cloud computing, communication systems, cyber-physical systems, and security.
An Honours degree (2:1 or above) in one of the following subjects or a closely related science subject area or an equivalent professional qualification requiring a high level of numeracy (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science). You are also encouraged to apply if you have other qualifications and/or experience and can demonstrate that you are equipped with knowledge and skills equivalent to Honours degree level.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
The minimum of IELTS 7.0 overall with no element lower than 6.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
