Diverse opportunities include but not are limited to Health and Wellbeing Physiologist; Active Schools Coordinator; Active Aging Coordinator; Sports Nutrition Product Development; Nutrition Advisor; Sports Nutrition; Health and Wellbeing Advisor; a postgraduate study in the area of Exercise Rehabilitation, Sports Nutrition, Dietetics, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, MRes or Ph.D

The University has an award-winning Careers and Employability service that provides a variety of employability-enhancing experiences; through the curriculum, employer contact, tailored group sessions, individual information, advice, and guidance.

We are here to help you plan your future, make the most of your time at University, and to enhance your employability. We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

General Eligibility

GCE A Level :

112 UCAS points from GCE A Levels or equivalent. Typical offer - BCC/BBC.

The Department requires the following subjects as essential for entry:

Biology OR Chemistry

BTEC:

BTEC Extended Diploma (Applied Science): DMM.

BTEC Diploma (Applied Science): D*D*

T Level:

T Level (Science) with a Merit grade

Irish/Scottish Highers:

Irish Highers - H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 including H3 in Biology OR Chemistry.

Scottish Highers - BBBB including Biology OR Chemistry.

International Baccalaureate :

26 points, including 5 in HL Biology or 5 in HL Chemistry

Access requirements:

Access to HE Diploma (Science), to include 45 credits at Level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit or above (including Biology or Chemistry).

OCR:

OCR National Extended Diploma: Merit 2

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DMM.

OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma - D*D*

Please note, the OCR entry requirements will be considered in conjunction with Level Biology or Chemistry.

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements:

Please note that we accept a maximum of 8 UCAS points from GCE AS Levels and that the Welsh Baccalaureate (core) and General Studies A Level will be recognized in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A levels and BTECs/OCRs.

GCSE at grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics is required.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
