Course Overview

Engineering management is a specialised field of management concerned specifically with the engineering sector. Reflecting industry demand for management-focused engineers, this course is designed to extend the knowledge, skills and ability of graduates in engineering, technology and applied science to the level required of senior management positions in the engineering industry. Industrial productivity and performance of many manufacturing companies is considered by many to be of concern. Part of the underlying cause of this problem is the lack of highly-educated and trained engineering and technology graduates entering the Engineering Management discipline. There has never been a more important time for businesses to have technically competent managers. During this course you will study advanced modules covering such areas as; strategic management, new product development, supply chain planning and control and total quality engineering, these modules should provide you with a greater depth of knowledge and skill.

General Eligibility

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

• An Honours degree (2:2 or above) in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar, or in a closely related science subject area such as physics or mathematics or an equivalent professional qualification.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
