Course Overview

In this career-focused course, you will explore and apply theories of behavioral decision-making science to various workplace and business contexts. This will enable you to develop skills in research, communication, and critical analysis. The course will provide you with advanced knowledge and training in the research methods, design, and statistical analysis used in Behavioural Economics and Decision Science research. The course will introduce you to applications of judgment and decision-making research in areas such as consumer behavior, politics, sports, economics, and health, and will provide you with a firm basis in both the theory and practice of cognitive science and decision-making. You will be introduced to a variety of decision-making methods and techniques, and also be trained to communicate the results of decision analysis. The central emphasis of the course, however, is on developing your ability to apply appropriate advanced research techniques. In doing so, the course provides excellent preparation for occupations involving data analysis and empirical research in the financial sector, private organizations, government, research institutes, and academia.

General Eligibility

An Honours degree (2:2 or above), or equivalent qualification, in any subject. Applicants with other appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.

  • The minimum for IELTS is 7.0 overall with no element lower than 6.5, (a minimum of TOEFL 550 (Computer Based Toefl 213) score) or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
