This course has been developed to provide an arts-based progression route to Honours level for those who have completed a Foundation degree (or equivalent). BA (Hons) Creative Arts Practice was developed in response to demand for an arts alternative to the very successful BA (Hons) Professional Studies. It seeks to engender a creative mix of artists and art forms and encourages cross-fertilization of ideas and projects. This one-year full-time course provides the opportunity for further exploration of an art form that would have been previously studied at the Foundation degree level. Whether this is media-based, music, graphics, fashion, photography, fine art or another form, the structure of this program blends practical, exhibition/project work with the in-depth study of contextual issues associated with Honours level work.
2019 entry: A Foundation degree, (or equivalent), FdA or FdSc All applicants are required to hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. Applicants who do not hold these qualifications may be considered on an individual basis based upon their overall application and the course applied for.
