You can apply for student midwife positions when they become live. Links to the NHS website will become available approximately four months before the start date. This course is designed for registered nurses to train as midwives. The University of Suffolk offers an exciting environment, within which to study Midwifery. The staff that guides students through their studies are well qualified with a wide range of experience in the discipline. There are excellent links between us and the local trusts where students gain clinical experience. The course supports students in developing a range of knowledge, skills, values, and competencies, which meet the professional requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This course enables successful students to gain registration as a midwife on the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Register.
Current NMC registration as a nurse level 1 (adult) A degree or diploma in Adult Nursing or evidence of recent study equivalent to 60 levels 5 credits. A minimum of 6 months full-time (or equivalent) post-registration experience within the last 2 years
IELTS 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components) where English is not the students' first language.
