Criminology is a discipline with a number of robust and lively theoretical and empirical debates. Through engaging in these debates students will gain the very important undergraduate skill of critical understanding. Sociology is a subject that developed with the modern world and its key task is to analyze the changing nature of the social world with particular reference to recent developments. Students will challenge common-sense notions of criminal and deviant behaviors by critically examining academic research and making informed decisions based on available evidence.
