Course Overview

Combining your English and Politics studies gives you a very wide range of modules to choose from and can lead to a diverse range of careers. You can study the history of English literature from the medieval period right up to the present day. Start with a basic overview of the subject and move towards choosing modules to suit your own interests. A wide range of modules gives you the option to study anything from Shakespeare to science fiction, Romantic poetry to contemporary poetry, creative writing to visual culture, or Victorian novels to Hollywood films. Politics confronts the big issues that affect societies the world over. Youll get an overview of the British political system as well as examining some of the most complex problems faced by humanity and the ideas that underpin them. The MA degree means you study Politics alongside other subjects from History to Geography, languages to Psychology. At Levels 3 and 4 you will be able to specialize.
