Course Overview

Are you interested in understanding criminal behaviour and the processes of criminal justice as you gain a law degree?

This Bachelor of Laws (LLB) gives you the choice to study for your solicitor exams or your Bar exams after you graduate. Alongside your study of law you'll gain knowledge of:

  • the history of criminology

  • the role of criminology in maintaining and challenging social order

  • how the world deals with the crimes of the powerful, such as genocide and war crimes

  • policing and society

As well as preparing you for a career as a lawyer, this course is ideal if you're considering a career in the police or prison services.

General Eligibility

  • A levels – AAB-ABB

  • UCAS points – 128–136 points from 3 A levels or equivalent

  • T levels – Merit – Distinction

  • BTECs (Extended Diplomas) – DDD–DDM

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in each component).
