Our Primary Education Studies course is designed for those looking for a career working with children aged 3-12 and their families. Its also a great option if you already work in education but want to learn more about the subject of progress in your career. We focus on education history, policy, and the way children are taught today. Youll graduate with a thorough understanding of classroom management, lesson planning, National Curriculum subjects, and the three Key Stages in primary education. Well also touch on special educational needs provision. Throughout the course, theres a strong focus on the core subjects that all primary-aged pupils study: reading, writing, maths, and science. Youll become familiar with teaching approaches and how to make adjustments to suit learners of all abilities.
96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) including a pass in Science (Chemistry preferred). 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
