Course Overview

With our BA (Hons) Popular Music degree, youll get the chance to develop your musicianship and take it to the next level. Immerse yourself in our student community, and collaborate on projects such as music videos, and film or computer game soundtracks. Theres a focus on live performance throughout, with the chance to perform at festivals and in well-known music venues around Cambridge. From notation and song-writing to the history and culture of popular music, youll gain an awareness of the different styles and techniques that can inform your own music.

General Eligibility

96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) including a pass in Science (Chemistry preferred). 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.

Language Requirement

  • If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
