Explore the beginnings, development, and future of electronic music and create your own portfolio with a range of individual and group projects. Youll experiment with music technologies, genres, styles, and approaches to develop your creative practice and output and build the skills required by employers. All our Electronic Music students use state-of-the-art facilities, including the latest digital audio workstations, climate-controlled recording studios, industry-standard software, two Mac suites, and a range of synthesizers as well as other instruments. Whether youre interested in becoming a pop producer, creating music for commercial media, or releasing your own electronic dance tracks, youll be preparing to work in an industry that grew by 2% in 2017 to contribute £4.5 billion to the economy (uk.music.org).
96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A-Levels (or equivalent), preferably to include Music, Music Technology, or a related subject. 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
