Course Overview

Building surveyors advise clients about new builds, listed buildings, and historic structures. Study at ARU, and learn how to evaluate the design, specification, and performance of buildings. Develop skills in building inspection and analysis, and use industry-standard equipment to tackle technical problems in construction. There are plenty of opportunities to get hands-on in specialist labs for materials and testing, environmental science and design, and surveying. Youll also work in our design and AutoCAD studios. You can choose to take a placement year as part of this course, putting your skills into practice in a real working environment.

General Eligibility

112 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent). 4 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.

Language Requirement

  • If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
