Course Overview

Our focus on practical and applied skills throughout the degree program means you will be able to move from analysis to political practice, preparing you for Masters level study or employment in a wide variety of sectors. In your first year, you will gain a fundamental grounding in Politics and International Relations, ready to move on to study Political Thought, Ethics, and Jurisprudence in year two and the Law of Government in year three. You will also complete a dissertation in your final year. In addition to your core modules, you will have the opportunity to study two optional modules from an exciting set of courses, such as Democracy, Human Rights and Global Politics, The Politics of Control, etc. This will enable you to learn more about particular academic and/or career interests, preparing you for your future career.
