This broad historical narrative will provide you with the opportunity to study specific themes in-depth, to understand the form and nature of warfare through the ages, and contribute to the academic debate surrounding the relationship between conflict and society. The County of Cheshire has had a long association with war and conflict. Chester has been the site of a siege, of convalescence, and a reception center for refugees displaced by conflict, and is also home to the Cheshire Military Museum and archive.
A 2:1 honours degree in history or any relevant discipline or equivalent qualification is required. Consideration will also be given to those who hold a lower classification who can demonstrate they are capable of performing at the level required to complete the course successfully.
