The degree is ideal if you are interested in becoming a practising solicitor or barrister. It also develops competencies and transferable skills suiting those wishing to embark on wide-ranging careers in policy areas such as international organisations, government departments, the charity sector and the world of business.
We maintain links with the legal industry and have featured practitioner talks and engagements to enhance the student experience. Industry leaders including Shoosmith LLP and Radcliffe Chambers have delivered these master class sessions. The programme is also supporting students' activities through the student Law Society that provides an enabling environment where students can undertake extra-curricular activities and develop transferable work skills like client interviewing, public speaking, assertiveness, networking and team working.
A dedicated career and employability team in Student services further support our students in finding work placements, internships or jobs. They offer information, advice and resources for job or study applications.
Minimum three A levels. Grades CC to include a Science/Food/Nutrition subject.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in all elements, or equivalent.
