Our Masters course is intended for practitioners from a range of dance fields and aims to reflect developments in practice-based research and current dance practices. It is designed for those who wish to extend their own creative potential and scholarly inquiry, and develop skills and knowledge through dance/art-making and performance. Why study this course with us? This course celebrates the dance practitioner across the wider dance community. The course aims to weave critical inquiry with creative freedom, thereby building your self-confidence in developing your practice and research in the context of current debates. You will have the opportunity to: attend guest workshops, lectures, performance opportunities, and seminars work alongside professional artists and researchers be part of a vibrant interdisciplinary research culture work in excellent studios, performance spaces, IT facilities, and learning resources.
The standard requirement is a 2:1 honours degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent qualification is usually required. Consideration will be given to those who hold a lower classification who can demonstrate they are capable of performing at the level required to complete the course successfully. Admission is by written application and interview.
