Social Justice and Community Action at the University of Chester will deliver graduates with the skills to make a real difference in the public sector and civil society. The Department is committed to promoting social justice locally, nationally, and internationally. Building on established links with local and national organizations, the Department of Social and Political Science provides students with innovative education with real impact. Our networks of community practitioners, charities, voluntary organizations, social causes, lobbyist groups, campaigners, and national experts, as well as statutory service providers, complement an established team of professors, lecturers, and researchers with experience in service delivery, activism, and public social science, to deliver a rich and critical learning environment. From the start of the course, you will be encouraged and supported to engage with local voluntary sector organizations in order to apply theory to practice.
