This is a dynamic, interactive professional course that places the needs of service patients and their families, and Mental Health Nursing practice, at its centre. The Programme Team is committed to supporting students to realize their potential to become compassionate, competent, and autonomous Mental Health Nurses, who are able to meet current and future healthcare demands. The course is delivered by experienced Mental Health Nurses with teaching and research expertise as well as experience in a wide range of clinical areas and services, including all four fields of nursing. The Mental Health lecturers have experience in child and adolescent mental health, forensic and security, acute and crisis care, substance misuse, personality disorder, and community care. The team works closely with local acute and community providers to ensure that the course remains contemporary.
